Memorial & St. Elizabeth’s Cancer Treatment Center provides patients opportunities to participate in clinical trials. A clinical trial is a way for patients to be a part of helping doctors and scientists test new cancer treatments. Current Trials

Prostate Cancer – RTOG 0831
To evaluate the effectiveness of a medication to be used for the prevention of erectile dysfunction in prostate cancer patients treated with radiotherapy.

Protocol: A randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled phase III trial to evaluate the effectiveness of a Phosphodiesterase 5 Inhibitor, Tadalafil, in prevention of erectile dysfunction in patients treated with radiotherapy for prostate cancer. BC 004.010

Prostate Cancer – TROG 0815
Radiotherapy trial for intermediate-risk prostate cancer patients.

Protocol: A phase III prospective randomized trial of dose-escalated radiotherapy with or without short-term androgen deprivation therapy for patients with intermediate-risk prostate cancer. BC 0002.010

Breast Cancer
Trial for Electronic Brachytherapy (EBT) treatment of early stage breast cancer.

Protocol: Electronic Xoft Intersociety Brachytherapy Trial – Electronic Brachytherapy (EBT) for treatment of early stage breast cancer. BC 0022.008   Closed to accrual, following patients.
